Oxford Midwifery Unit is a state-of-the-art birthing unit which offers quality service and provides a safe birthing environment in an upmarket neighbourhood at an affordable cost, making it one of the top birthing centers in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. A contemporary styled facility that accommodates five fully furnished birthing rooms. Should you require a Caesarian Section, the birthing unit has 24 hour access to a fully equipped theatre with cutting edge technology within the premises.

Best decision as a first time mom. My midwife, Sr Sally, took me through the entire process calmly and delivered my baby with ease. My partner was involved and also had a good experience as a first time dad. The entire staff was friendly and always ready to assist. A thank you to Sr Lilo for her assistance as well. Gave birth to my second son here. As intense as the experience inevitably is, it was a joyous and empowering one this time around (as opposed to during my firstborn’s hospital birth). I was encouraged, supported and asked for consent at every turn. The facilities are comfortable and private, and it feels more like a hotel-stay than a hospital stay. Having a water birth is an option to definitely choose here. Backup gynae for emergencies are prepared. Your partner is included, encouraged and welcomed. Cannot praise this place and my midwife Lilo ❤️ highly enough. What a pleasure.

Unbelievable and beautiful birthing experience. So good I booked another night without hesitation or problem. As a first time mom I would highly recommend this birthing center.
